What this care addresses
Weight is about more than willpower. Metabolism, hormones, sleep, stress, medications and health conditions all play a part. Medical weight management is for men who want clinician-guided help with weight and the health markers that go with it, such as blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol.
It is not a crash diet, a cosmetic quick fix or a shortcut.
How assessment works
We plan to begin with a clinician-guided assessment that looks at your weight history and past attempts, your goals, your health conditions and medications, and your sleep, stress and daily routine. Measurements such as weight, waist and blood pressure are typical, and testing is chosen for you, which may include blood sugar, cholesterol and, when clinically indicated, thyroid and hormone levels.
Excess weight and low testosterone can be linked in both directions, so evaluation may consider both.
A personalized approach
A plan is built around you and can include nutrition, physical activity, sleep and stress, and behavior change. Where it is clinically appropriate, it may also include medication.
We will name medication options, eligibility criteria and what a program includes here only once they are confirmed. Until then, we are not describing any specific medication or program.

Potential benefits, and their limits
Reducing excess weight may improve health markers such as blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol, and many men also feel better day to day. Individual results vary. We do not promise a particular amount of weight loss or a timeline.
Follow-up
Weight management is ongoing. We plan regular check-ins to review progress, repeat measurements and tests where needed, watch for side effects, and adjust the plan. We will publish our follow-up approach once it is confirmed.
Risks and what to know
Every medication and program has potential risks and side effects, and some are not suitable for certain people. If your clinician recommends a medication, they will explain what it does, who should not take it, what to watch for, and how you will be monitored.
Weight can return when treatment stops, which is why long-term habits and follow-up matter.
When to talk with a clinician
Talk with a clinician if your weight has changed without a clear reason, if diet and training are not moving it, or if weight is affecting your energy, sleep, blood pressure or blood sugar. A clinician can look at causes you cannot see from the scale.
Seek care promptly for unexplained rapid weight loss, severe fatigue, or sudden changes in thirst or urination.
